Matt has a passion to support individuals and organisational leaders to GROW their awareness and confidence, to EVOLVE their behaviours and actions and to SUCCEED in achieving their goals.
Prior to establishing his own business (The Change Department) he accumulated over 20 years of experience in the public sector and in dealing with small and large businesses. In senior management positions he delivered successful change across many disciplines including; Organisational Development, Customer Services, Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Business Systems and Project Management.
Matt has worked in rural locations managing change within remote and dispersed teams. He has led many organisational change initiatives with a focus on improving overall team performance and developing other leaders for success.
Matt believes that people need more than just new information – they need an experience followed by reflection – in order to gain real insight into themselves and others. He likes to facilitate and create space for teams to have real conversations, and to support leaders to do the same with their teams.
In addition to his qualifications and experience in management, Matt is a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Coach and Myer Briggs Type Instrument (MBTI) Practitioner.
